Who we are
TodoHQ is published by iotablue, LLC. Contact us at hello@iotablue.com.
Your account
You sign in with an email and password, with Sign in with Apple, or as a guest, which creates an anonymous account. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, a Google service.
We store your email address, display name and profile image URL when your sign-in method provides them.
Your content
Your lists, to-do items, reminders, due dates, notes, completion history, Pomodoro focus sessions, streaks, achievements and app settings are stored in Firebase Realtime Database, a Google Cloud service, in the United States.
Your content is stored under your account. Database access rules mean only your signed-in account can read or change it through TodoHQ.
Subscriptions
TodoHQ subscriptions are bought through Apple, and Apple handles payment. RevenueCat, our subscription provider, processes your purchase history and subscription status, linked to your TodoHQ account ID. iotablue never sees your card details.
Analytics
Analytics are off by default. They only run if you turn on Share usage analytics in Settings. When on, Firebase Analytics records how features in the app are used so we can improve TodoHQ. You can turn it off at any time.
We don’t use your data for advertising, track you across other companies’ apps or websites, collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), or sell your data.
Crash reports
If TodoHQ crashes, Firebase Crashlytics collects a crash log and information about your device so we can find and fix the bug.
Reminders
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device.
Notion integration
This applies only if you connected TodoHQ to Notion in an earlier version of the app.
Your Notion access token stays in your device’s Keychain. The Notion database you chose is stored with your account. TodoHQ exchanges list and task data with Notion only for that connection. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.
Ledger
Earlier versions of TodoHQ included Ledger, a finance feature. If you used it, that data stays in your account until you delete your account.
Deleting your account
In TodoHQ, go to Settings > Delete Account. This removes your account and its data. You can also email hello@iotablue.com and ask us to delete it.
Data retention
We keep your account and content for as long as you have a TodoHQ account. When you delete your account in the app, your account and content are removed from our database straight away. If you ask us by email, we delete them within 30 days.
Some records are kept by the services we use, under their own rules. Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days. If you turned on analytics, Firebase Analytics keeps usage data for up to 14 months. Apple and RevenueCat keep purchase records as needed for billing, tax and refunds.
Children
TodoHQ isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child under 13 has given us personal information, email hello@iotablue.com and we’ll delete it.
Your privacy rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@iotablue.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.
We use your information to provide TodoHQ to you and to fix crashes. We only run analytics with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings.
TodoHQ’s data is stored and processed in the United States by Google (Firebase) and RevenueCat. If you live outside the United States, including in Australia, the UK or the EU, this means your information is sent overseas.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, email us first. If you’re in Australia, you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). If you’re in the UK or EU, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
